What happens if I choose not to participate in society anymore? I throw in my job, sell my house, donate all the money to charity and walk out into the street? Where am I “allowed” to sleep? Where can I set up a camp and live off the land? Eventually a care worker will be along to try and find me some housing etc, but what if I refuse? Fine me for sleeping in a public place – i dont have any money. It is all about getting the for-profit prisons filled up. If you think they (the rather conservative government of Tennessee) give a crap about that, you are sorely mistaken. The only thing that scares my white ass more then being homeless, is being in prison. Instead of trying to fix the actual problem.
This is how the system just creates career criminals out of nothing. Probably treated better inside a penitentiary than you are on the streets being homeless in the United States.
